Starleen Celeste Schaffer, MD

Starleen grew up outside of Buffalo, New York.  Starleen earned her Bachelors of Science degree from the State University of NY at Buffalo.  She the went on to the Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo, where she was a co-author in a major genetics study which was published.  

Starleen attended Medical School at the State University of NY at Buffalo, where she earned her Medical Degree.  To further prepare for her medical career, Dr. Schaffer attended a residency program at Jackson Memorial Trauma Center in a combined residency program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  Starleen went on to further train in a residency program at Eastern State Medical Hospital in Tennessee.  Starleen spent her training time there being Chief Resident and extended her training at the local Veteran's Administration Hospital.

Starleen opened her solo Medical Practice in Sebastian Florida in late 2020.  She has been on staff and affiliated with Sebastian River Medical Center throughout her career.  She treats patients from as young as 8, but focuses on adult care.  Starleen is capable of treating a vast array of chronic medical conditions, but also likes to focus on preventative care.  In order to provide care to more community members, Dr. Schaffer has recently brought on a Nurse Practitioner who compliments her own practice style. 
 
Starleen enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and her two small dogs.
